Hand building only

Experience cylinder making on manual turning wheel. Basic hand building techniques will be taught.

A range of 11 colours stains will provided for you to glaze your art work on the day itself!

Hand building & Potter's wheel

Besides cylinder making, you get to have a go on the potter's wheel! Throwing on the turning wheel is another technique of pottery making.

Trial Potter's Wheel Workshop (One time off)

 If you've watched ' Ghost' movie, you maybe able to relate to the scene.

Throwing on the electric turning wheel looks challenging but fun! From a lump of clay, it takes a few steps (centering, opening & lifting) to get to the final form. Our experienced instructors will guide you through, no worries!

Long Term Potter's Wheel Course

(No minimum number of participants required)

Module 1

Come pick up new hobby with us! Through these 10 sessions, you get to understand clay and throw basic forms. Our experienced instructor, Vernice Chong will guide you through the making, glazing and firing processes.

Want to learn more?

Join our module 2 or 3 to learn more different forms and get a chance to fire your art work in the oldest dragon kiln!

We've been offering various hands on  programmes for all ages since 2000.

 

Our programmes are suitable for school learning journey, family bonding, team building, CCA interest groups, school clusters and parties.

 

It's a great activity to bond one another, explore Singapore's one and only surviving dragon kiln, learn new skill and create your master piece in the nature!

Traditional wood kiln was built in 1940 

 Tan family took over in 1965, mainly used for mass production in the past and currently keeping the fire alive!

Come learn more about the big brother! We have hosted for many groups from Community Centres, schools, heritage groups, tourist groups and more!

Our package consists of dragon kiln tour, demonstration on potter's wheel and free & easy shopping at our wholesale retails!

 (Approx. 40-60 minutes) 

$18/pax + GST (Min. 20pax)

$100/bus load + GST - Applicable for senior citizens/ community centre/ RC
